Thesis: Lunar Base Structural Design; visiting graduate student from the University of Stuttgart. Work completed between January and May 2004.
Defense at Stuttgart.

Between 2004 and 2006 Florian worked for 2 years on stadium, bridge and tunnel projects for BDE, engineering consultants in Stuttgart, Germany before joining AIRBUS Germany in 2006. At AIRBUS he is in the Wing High Lift Stress Design team.
His general interest in space and the colonization of space in particular has led him to create the HE-SQUARED.COM project which includes research on lunar habitat design and construction.

The focus of the Center for Structures in Extreme Environments is the study of structures that are exemplary of the human spirit for exploration and advancement - whether it be the exploration of space, the settlement of the Moon and Mars, or pushing the frontiers of understanding and development of the ocean - we are glad to be a part of a very exciting aspect of the human adventure.
