Education:

MSME, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
BSME, Rutgers College of Engineering

Work activities:

I am an expert in mechanical finite element analysis. I have applied my knowledge to structural design and analysis, shock analysis, thermal design and analysis, mechanism synthesis, rotor dynamics, and acoustics.

Specifics:

I have been employed by General Dynamics, Electric Boat since 1996. I have worked on the design of the Virginia Class Submarine Engine Room, Weapons Handling Systems, and many other mechanical and structural systems on the boat.

Additionally, I have worked in electromagnetic machinery, developing mechanical designs and cooling systems for permanent magnet motors and generators.

My most recent projects have been in the area of Technology Insertions. These project focus on developing new systems to be inserted into current submarines at a later date, or development of class evolutions of a particular boat.

csXe Mission Statement

The focus of the Center for Structures in Extreme Environments is the study of structures that are exemplary of the human spirit for exploration and advancement - whether it be the exploration of space, the settlement of the Moon and Mars, or pushing the frontiers of understanding and development of the ocean - we are glad to be a part of a very exciting aspect of the human adventure.
